Mountain CAP is a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO), funded by West Virginia Housing Development Fund.  Within this program, our agency will develop new, affordable, energy efficient homes for our community residents in Braxton, Lewis, Nicholas, Upshur and Webster counties.  Our agency controls the entire process: purchasing the land, preparing the site for construction, selecting the home design, hiring contractors, overseeing the construction and promoting the sale of the homes.

 To purchase a single-family home program guidelines do apply:

• Income cannot exceed 60% of the area median income (AMI) for household size as established by HUD
• Credit Score Limits
• Debt Limits
• Other conditions may apply

Mountain CAP's CHDO homes are not pre-sold to individual buyers, meaning a specific home will not be built for an individual.  Our program operates on a "First Ready, First Served" basis.  Mountain CAP is an equal opportunity lender, employer, and housing provider.
